Job summary

Project On Government Oversight (POGO) is seeking a Grants Management Associate to support foundation fundraising efforts. You’ll assist with drafting acknowledgements and reports, manage grant requirements, and maintain donor communications under the Director of Development.

The role emphasizes building relationships with foundations and forecasting revenue within a nonprofit setting. The position requires at least 1 year of fundraising experience, strong written and verbal communication, and

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of fundraising experience or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to translate complex info into donor narratives.
• Demonstrated commitment to nonpartisan, respectful collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Development with foundation management, drafting acknowledgements, reports, letters, and emails.
• Track grant requirements, deadlines, and communications with funders.
• Manage a portfolio of foundations and assist with revenue and cash flow forecasting.
• Identify, research, and evaluate new funding opportunities aligned with POGO’s mission.
• Maintain foundation and grant data in Salesforce, ensuring accuracy.
• Prepare staff for foundation meetings and calls; support meeting execution.
