Job summary

Rush Memorial Hospital Foundation is seeking an Assistant Director to support the Executive Director in advancing fundraising goals, donor relationships, and daily operations. The role focuses on donor cultivation, stewardship, board and committee support, volunteer leadership, and coordinating foundation events.

The position requires a strong background in nonprofit fundraising, financial administration, and relationship-building within a healthcare or community setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, finance, or related field preferred.
• Three to five years of nonprofit development, fundraising, donor relations, or related experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and confidentiality required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Executive Director in implementing the Foundation’s strategic fundraising plan and donor-engagement strategy.
• Maintain donor pipeline, donor research, briefing materials, and stewardship activities.
• Coordinate volunteer program and community engagement initiatives.
• Prepare financial summaries, fundraising reports, dashboards, and budget updates.
• Ensure compliance with donor restrictions and documentation.
