Job summary

Rush Memorial Hospital Foundation is seeking an Assistant Director to support the Executive Director in advancing the mission, priorities, and donor relationships. You will help build a sustainable philanthropy program, coordinate donor cultivation, and support Foundation operations and financial activities.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, professional communication, and collaboration with Board members, hospital leadership, and community partners to expand philanthropic impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Experience in donor relations, fundraising, and foundation operations is preferred.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Support the Executive Director with strategic fundraising planning and donor-engagement strategy.
• Maintain donor pipelines, research prospects, and track giving history and next steps.
• Coordinate donor cultivation, stewardship activities, and donor recognition efforts.
• Assist in preparing budgets, reports, and financial summaries for the Foundation.
• Collaborate with Board and committees; provide timely information for decisions.
