Job summary

Daviess Community Hospital Foundation seeks a Visionary Foundation Director to lead a comprehensive philanthropic strategy supporting the hospital's mission. You will align initiatives with the CEO and Foundation Board, strengthen community ties, and drive long-term giving.

This role oversees fundraising campaigns, donor cultivation and stewardship, Foundation events, and grant activities while ensuring responsible use of resources and high visibility in the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, nonprofit management, marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years of fundraising or nonprofit development experience preferred.
• Experience with donor cultivation and stewardship preferred.
• Healthcare or nonprofit sector experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of a philanthropic strategy to increase charitable giving.
• Oversee Foundation operations and collaborate with the CEO and Foundation Board on priorities.
• Manage donor cultivation, stewardship programs, and donor recognition efforts.

Description

The Foundation Director is responsible for leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive philanthropic strategy to increase, enhance, and sustain charitable giving in support of Daviess Community Hospital and its mission. The Director provides leadership for the overall operations of the Daviess Community Hospital Foundation and works collaboratively with the CEO and Foundation Board to establish strategic priorities, strengthen community relationships, engage donors, and advance the long-term goals of the Foundation.

The Director oversees fundraising initiatives, donor cultivation and stewardship, Foundation events, grant activities, financial resources, and efforts to increase the visibility and impact of the Foundation within the community.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business, nonprofit management, communications, marketing, finance, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, donor relations, community relations, public relations, sales, marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with fundraising techniques, charitable giving strategies, donor cultivation, and stewardship preferred.
• Healthcare and/or nonprofit experience preferred.
