Job summary

USA Triathlon Foundation, based at the organization's headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO, is seeking a Development Coordinator to support day‑to‑day operations, donor engagement, and fundraising efforts.

You will collaborate with senior leadership to manage gift processing, donor communications, campaigns, and event execution while building strong relationships with athletes, donors, volunteers, and partners.

Qualifications

• At least one year of relevant professional experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, events, marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in the Olympic and Paralympic movement and a passion for sport, preferably triathlon or running/ cycling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends, particularly during peak event season.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, record, and acknowledge all gifts and funding in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain donor and gift records within Salesforce CRM.
• Create and manage online donation pages, reports, donor lists, and Salesforce tools.
• Maintain donor data and assist with reporting and segmentation.
• Coordinate corporate matching gifts and donor benefits.
• Travel occasionally to represent the Foundation at donor events and activations.
• Draft donor communications and stewardship materials in collaboration with teams.
• Support donor engagement campaigns and opportunities connected to triathlon events and community programs.
• Plan and execute fundraising activities and campaigns, including youth giving and donor thank‑you initiatives.
