Job Overview

The Foundation Coordinator serves as a key member of the Fairview Foundation team, providing operational, project, and broad administrative support to advance the Foundation's mission and philanthropic priorities. This position primarily supports Foundation leadership, development staff, board activities, donor engagement, stakeholder engagement, stewardship initiatives, special events, and community partnerships across Fairview Health's services and programs. The Foundation Coordinator acts as a central point of coordination for Foundation operations, ensuring effective communication, meeting and event management, donor information tracking, reporting, and project execution. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting a culture of philanthropy across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and project support to Foundation leadership
  • Support meetings, events, and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, clinical leaders, caregivers, and community partners to support Foundation programs and philanthropic initiatives.
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, presentations, reports, meeting minutes, and other Foundation communications.
  • Support donor cultivation, stewardship, and engagement activities by coordinating visits, preparing materials, tracking next steps, and providing administrative support to development staff.
  • Maintain complex project timelines and provide regular updates regarding deliverables, events, and ongoing initiatives.
  • Process invoices, expense reports, contracts, and other operational documentation as needed.
  • Assist with grateful patient and family engagement efforts, including inquiries, correspondence, recognition activities, and stewardship initiatives.
  • Serve as staff liaison to the Fairview Philanthropic Foundation Board of Directors and related committees.
  • Coordinate Foundation-sponsored events, donor stewardship activities, grateful patient initiatives, hospital engagement opportunities, community outreach programs, signature philanthropy and recognition events.
  • Manage complex logistics for meetings and events including scheduling, catering, space reservations, registrations, vendor coordination, and day-of event support.
  • Manage confidential donor, patient, and organizational information in accordance with Foundation policies and applicable privacy regulations.
Required Qualifications
  • B.S./B.A. Healthcare Administration, Communications Philanthropy, Business or related field
  • 3 years Professional experience in development, fundraising, or institutional advancement, preferably within a large hospital network or academic medical center.
  • Experience navigating donor management databases or healthcare CRM software (such as Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge NXT) alongside standard spreadsheet tools.
  • Clear understanding of HIPAA laws regarding the use of patient data for healthcare fundraising purposes.
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence, active listening, and strong communication skills necessary to collaborate with physicians, corporate leaders, and families navigating complex health journeys.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with an ability to maneuver in a fast-paced, growth mindset environment.

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
