The Program Director, Clinical Technologies is responsible for advancing the organization’s clinical technology and virtual care strategy through the implementation, optimization, and ongoing maturation of technology-enabled care solutions. This role supports innovative models of care delivery across inpatient, ambulatory, home, and virtual settings, ensuring clinical technologies, connected care solutions, and biomedical technologies are aligned to operational, clinical, patient experience, quality, safety, workforce, and financial objectives. This role programmatically leads the planning, execution, and deployment of clinical technology initiatives to shape the overall system strategy and direction for the portfolio or domain.
Partnership and delivery scope: This individual maintains strong vendor, IT, biomedical/clinical engineering, virtual care, informatics, and operational partnerships to expedite the clinical innovation portfolio of work. They facilitate establishing and maintaining schedules and dependencies for implementations, optimizations, strategic planning activities, and change management for complex clinical technology projects. This leader coordinates across informatics, IT, operations, virtual care, Clinical Engineering/Biomedical Services, and other essential functions to ensure successful end-to-end deployment of clinical technology solutions, connected medical devices, and clinical and operational workflows.
Connected care ecosystem: This leader works across clinical technology, virtual care, remote patient monitoring, medical device integration, and emerging digital health capabilities to ensure technologies are deployed as part of a coordinated care delivery ecosystem. They facilitate risk assessments and evaluate adoption and utilization of technologies and clinical solutions, developing mitigation plans to support seamless execution and safe use.
Governance and outcomes: This leader aligns with program and project sponsors to understand and translate business objectives into an accumulative series of program outcomes in the operating context of the business. This role facilitates program advancement through governance activities, identification of risks and realization of benefits, communication of program decisions, and change management activities.
Leadership competencies: This role must have the ability to look at the big picture, translate business objectives into an outcome-based framework for action, demonstrate strong program and project management skills, and foster effective team culture and dynamics. This role will have expectations be expected to effectively collaborate with and manage work effort of individuals of matrixed reporting structures. Other important attributes include the ability to negotiate through disputes, communicate effectively, stay organized, attend to detail, and guide, negotiate, and integrate multiple projects and project managers.

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
