The Animal Care Centers of NYC is seeking a Foster Program Coordinator to manage day-to-day operations of the foster program. You will move animals in and out of foster homes, support 800+ foster parents, and facilitate adoption processes to ensure every animal finds a home.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years in a client-facing position.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
• Humane handling techniques whenever possible.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Provide support to foster volunteers to ensure all their needs are met.
• Coordinate transportation of foster animals to volunteers, between care centers, and to adoption events.
• Coordinate with Veterinary Services to ensure foster animals leave the care center with vaccines and treatment plans; schedule follow-up Vet appointments.
• Assist in identifying appropriate foster animals for off-site adoption, outreach, and events.
• Recruit new foster volunteers through orientations, interviews, and training.
