Job summary

The Bair Foundation is seeking a Foster Parent Recruiter to expand and strengthen our network of foster, adoptive, and kinship families who provide safe, stable homes for children in care. You will lead recruitment from inquiry to certification, engaging prospective caregivers through outreach, education, assessment, and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field.
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and vehicle registration.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, documentation, and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Recruit with Purpose – Lead outreach and recruitment through community presentations, events, and relationship-building to increase foster, adoptive, and kinship family inquiries.
• Guide the Journey – Engage prospective families through timely follow-up, education, and face-to-face interaction to motivate participation in pre-service training and certification.
• Ensure Readiness & Safety – Assess prospective caregivers and home environments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, agency policies, and best practices for child safety and well-being.
• Drive Certification Success – Manage documentation, tracking, and electronic records to ensure families meet all requirements prior to certification.
• Build Strong Foundations – Provide or coordinate pre-service training that prepares families for the responsibilities, challenges, and rewards of caring for children in foster care.
• Protect Trust & Dignity – Maintain confidentiality and uphold privacy standards for all children, families, and agency records.
