Job summary

The Bair Foundation is seeking a Home Study Assessor to conduct comprehensive home studies and assessments that determine a family’s readiness to foster or adopt. This field-based role involves interviewing prospective families, visiting homes, and preparing clear, timely reports to support certification and permanency decisions.

You will collaborate with agency staff and represent the mission with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field preferred.
• Experience working with children, families, or social service systems preferred.
• Strong assessment, interviewing, and professional writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet multiple deadlines.
• Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and vehicle registration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth home studies and assessments in accordance with agency standards and regulatory requirements.
• Interview prospective families and complete home visits to evaluate safety, stability, and readiness to care for children.
• Prepare clear, accurate, and timely written homestudy reports that support certification and permanency decisions.
