Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution with 1 year of directly related experience.
• Master's degree in human services field (such as counseling, psychology, related discipline) with 2 years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW) from an accredited institution with 2 years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a human services field with 3 years of related experience.
• A valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of 5 Social Worker IIIs in a foster care unit dedicated to finding timely permanency for children; manage 75-100+ open cases and handle personnel matters for direct reports.
• Facilitates unit staffing on a monthly rotation with partner SWS III and staff cases to provide guidance.
• Reviews all documentation, including court paperwork, to ensure compliance with law and policy.
• Assigns cases per state standards; coordinates with legal staff to assure child safety and permanency; manages scheduling and leave for unit.
• Participates in hiring processes and conducts performance evaluations for staff.
• Participates in Children & Family Services Management Team meetings monthly; contributes to subcommittees for accountability and consistency.
• Must be available for mandatory emergency shelters and other duties as assigned.
