Gaston County Government's Social Services division seeks a qualified professional to support foster care, adult and aging services, and welfare programs. The role involves assisting with home visits, coordinating services, and documenting activities to aid client outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree, driving privileges, and the ability to navigate sensitive family situations, maintain confidentiality, and work in a multi-cultural context.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a human services field from an accredited institution.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and one year of directly related experience.
• A valid driver's license is required.

Responsabilidades

• Assists in foster care and adult and aging services home visits in compliance with state statutes and policies.
• Assists in collateral contacts under supervision of senior social workers and helps clients access services.
• Participates in supervision, meetings, and trainings.
• Provides emotional support to adults and children during changes in environment and documents observations.
• Testifies in court to provide observations.
• Completes and submits narratives, home visit reports, and other documentation timely.
• Builds collaborative relationships with outside agencies.
• Assists in coordinating transportation for LINKS events and to appointments.
• Prepares and maintains reports of observations and time spent in service delivery.
• Attends case conferences and mandatory emergency shelters as assigned.
