Catholic Charities of Washtenaw County is seeking a Foster Care Supervisor to lead a team of Case Managers in Washtenaw County and surrounding areas, ensuring families receive comprehensive support to become whole again.

You will supervise staff, guide licensing adherence, and foster a collaborative culture while occasionally carrying a caseload and contributing to a 24/7 crisis response team. This role emphasizes mentorship and service quality for children and families.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory experience; foster care preferred.
• Master's degree strongly preferred; BSW with CWTI training considered.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging clients, partners, and staff.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel within a 100-mile radius.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of Foster Care Case Managers.
• Ensure services meet high standards of quality and compassion for children, birth parents, and foster families.
• Guide the team through Michigan licensing and foster care policy.
• Build a collaborative, inclusive team culture with staff support and engagement.
• Step in to carry a case load when staffing needs require.
• Share rotating on-call coverage for 24/7 crisis response (about one week a month, with additional compensation).
