Abbott House in Bronx, NY is seeking a Case Aide to support the case planning team and help ensure every child in our care lives in a nurturing, safe, permanent family as quickly as possible.

The role involves front-desk duties, record keeping, data entry into CONNECTIONS, coordinating mail, assisting with applications (IDs, birth certificates, SS cards), visiting foster families, supervising visits, and occasional driving within NYC.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience working with families and children.
• A valid NYS driver’s license in good standing.
• Willingness and ability to drive a car or van within NYC and surrounding areas.

Responsabilités

• Manage the reception area and triage calls to the appropriate party.
• Maintain the sign-in and sign-out sheet.
• Maintain the office filing system for orderly record retention.
• Create and maintain case records and intake packages.
• Enter data in the CONNECTIONS system for case records.
• Coordinate mail and correspondence.
• Assist with applications for state ID, birth certificates, and Social Security for children and youth in foster care.
• Visit foster families, youth, and caregiver homes as needed.
• Supervise family visits as needed.
• Drive staff and clients as needed, potentially out of state.
• Support compliance with NYC and NYS regulatory agencies.
