Job summary

Wellspring Lutheran Services in Traverse City seeks a part-time Foster Care Case Aide to support children and families during the foster care journey. You will help with parenting time visits, transportation, and family support services to promote safety and connection.

You will work with foster care professionals to assist children and families, provide consistent encouragement, and document important information to support case plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with children and families is helpful but not required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of insurance.
• A positive, strength-based approach to working with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support parenting time visits and other family interactions.
• Create a safe, supportive environment for children during visits and activities.
• Encourage positive interactions and help families build on strengths.
• Transport children and families to appointments, visits, and activities.
• Observe, document, and communicate important information to the foster care team.
• Work with children and families from diverse backgrounds to support long-term success.
