You'll help facilitate parenting time visits, provide transportation, assist with family support services, and help create positive, safe experiences for children and the people who care about them.Many people begin in this role with little or no child welfare experience. What matters most is your ability to connect with others, treat people with dignity and respect, and genuinely care about helping children and families succeed.Most importantly, you'll be part of work that helps children maintain important family connections and supports families as they work toward positive change.What Your Impact Will Look LikeYou'll help children and families stay connected by coordinating and supporting parenting time visits and other important family interactions.You'll create an environment where children feel safe, supported, and valued during family visits and activities.You'll encourage positive interactions and help families build on their strengths through coaching, support, and consistent encouragement.You'll transport children and families to appointments, visits, and other activities that are important to their case plans and goals.You'll observe, document, and communicate important information that helps the foster care team provide effective support and services.You'll work directly with children and families from diverse backgrounds, helping create positive experiences that contribute to long-term success.Some days you'll be helping a child get to a visit with their parent.
