Job summary

Wellspring Lutheran Services in Michigan seeks a Foster Care Case Aide to support children and families, coordinating parenting time visits and transportation, while helping maintain positive family connections. Prior childcare experience is helpful, with a focus on respectful, strength-based engagement.

You’ll work with foster care professionals to support case plans, provide transportation, and assist with family services, while maintaining flexibility to meet community needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with children and families is helpful but not required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of insurance.
• A positive, strength-based approach to working with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate parenting time visits and other important family interactions.
• Transport children and families to appointments, visits, and activities.
• Observe, document, and communicate information to help the foster care team.
• Support children and families from diverse backgrounds to create positive experiences.
• Assist with family support services and caregiving activities.
