Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) is seeking a full-time Licensed Social Worker to join the Foster Care Team in Columbus, Ohio. You will provide case management and community-based services to youth and families, coordinating mental health and related services while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

This entry-level opportunity offers a salary of approximately $47,000–$49,000 plus a productivity bonus, generous time off, health coverage, and professional growth

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field.
  • Valid LSW license as required by state law/regulatory bodies.
  • Willingness to work flexible/non-traditional hours to support foster caregivers and families.

Responsibilities

  • Provide case management, transportation, and professional services to meet outcomes for youth and families.
  • Deliver individual, group, and family mental health services in line with approved plans.
  • Travel daily to deliver community-based and in-home services.
  • Coordinate and monitor clinical services across mental health, medical, educational, and social domains.
  • Review and adjust youth plans to ensure progress toward goals.
  • Build strong relationships with foster families and birth families to support reunification and stability.

We are seeking a full-time Licensed Social Worker to join our Foster Care Team in Columbus, Ohio.

Compensation: $47,000-49,000 + Productivity Bonus!

Position Summary

Foster Care Social Workers with National Youth Advocate Program work in the community as part of an integral service team. Under the general supervision of the Clinical Supervisor or designee, this position works to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children and families served. This position works closely with youth, family, foster parents, and community partners, providing advocacy and support toward the ultimate goal of living safely and successfully in the community.

Responsibilities
  • Provides case management, transportation, and other professional services, meeting or exceeding established outcomes thresholds on behalf of persons served.
  • Provides appropriate individual, group, and family mental health services, and other evidence based clinical services, meeting or exceeding established outcome thresholds on behalf of persons served.
  • Travels daily, to provide community-based and in-home services to, and on behalf of, youth and families in compliance with organizational, contract, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and monitor clinical services for the youth and family in the community, including but not limited to, mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social services.
  • Regularly reviews and modifies youth-based plans to assure consistent progress and success on written plan goals.
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationship with assigned foster parents and/or families of origin.
  • Assists in family reunification and/or stabilization efforts with the youth’s primary family or other permanent living arrangement consistent with the youth’s case plan.
  • Provides safety assessment, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services as required to assure safety and stability for youth served.
  • Consistently achieves or exceeds established billable productivity thresholds based on the needs of the caseload.
  • Completes all required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Completes all required training in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution or equivalent.
  • A valid professional license (LSW) as required by state law and/or regulatory bodies.
  • A willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hours as needed in the service of foster caregivers, families of origin, and persons served.
  • Capacity to be flexible and responsive to youth served, foster caregivers, system partners, and internal customers.
  • Capacity to remain objective and professional in all areas of job function.
  • Demonstrates tolerance and respect for ideas and actions of others.
  • Capacity to effectively work with and be respectful and sensitive to persons from various cultures, socioeconomic, ethnic, religious, and racial backgrounds.
  • Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
Driving And Vehicle Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable personal transportation
  • Good driving record
  • Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability
