Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) in Newark, Ohio seeks a full-time Social Worker (LSW) to join the Foster Care Team.   • Support youth stabilization and safety planning, including crisis response.
  • Be available for on-call rotation.

We are seeking a full-time Social Worker (LSW) to join our Foster Care Team in Newark Ohio.

Compensation: $50,000-$53,000 + Productivity Bonus!

Position Summary

Stabilization Social Workers with National Youth Advocate Program work in the community as part of an integral service team. This position provides immediate support and intervention to individuals and families in crisis to ensure their safety and well-being; working closely with youth, family, foster parents, and community partners, providing advocacy and support toward the ultimate goal of living safely and successfully in the community.

Responsibilities
  • Provides appropriate individual and family mental health services, intervention and other evidence based clinical services as required.
  • Travels daily, to provide community based services to, and on behalf of, youth and families in compliance with organizational, contract, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinates and monitors services for youth.
  • Regularly completes, reviews and modifies youth-based plans.
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationship with foster parents and families of origin.
  • Assists in youth's stabilization efforts.
  • Provides safety assessment, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services as required.
  • Flexible availability for scheduled on-call rotation.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution.
  • A valid professional license, LSW; required.
  • Experience working with youth and foster care, required.
  • Must have flexible availability including evenings.
  • Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
Driving And Vehicle Requirements
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable personal transportation
  • Good driving record
  • Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability
