Job summary

Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains in Colorado Springs seeks a Foster Care Recruiter and Training Specialist to build a robust network of foster families and to train foster parents in accordance with agency, state, and federal expectations.

You will develop recruitment and retention plans, coordinate ongoing trainings, manage licensing activities, and partner with community stakeholders to support families throughout the foster process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the behavioral sciences, human services, or social services fields.
• Child welfare and/or case management experience is strongly encouraged.
• Experience with developing recruitment and training programs for foster families is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate a robust network of foster families for the program.
• Develop and implement a foster family recruitment and retention plan.
• Lead initial and ongoing training of foster parents and the broader foster care network.
• Coordinate scheduling, development, and implementation of recruitment activities.
• Support licensing responsibilities and conduct home visits as needed.
