Job summary

The 4Kids4Families is seeking a Permanency Specialist to assess and develop permanency plans for children in foster care. You will coordinate with families, foster parents, and a wide range of professionals to secure stable, loving homes.

Ideal candidates have a social work or related background, 1–2 years of relevant experience, and knowledge of child welfare laws and practices. Travel, on-call work, and crisis intervention are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field and 1-2 years of work-related experience required.
• Previous experience in child welfare, foster care, or adoption services is a plus.
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in child welfare.

Responsibilities

• Meet the individual needs of children in foster care and assist caregivers to provide a stable and loving home.
• Work in emotion-filled environments; conduct home visits in isolated/high-crime areas with possible substandard housing.
• Advocate for children's best interests with legal and court systems; ensure timely court appearances and documentation.
• Collaborate with social workers, therapists, educators, and healthcare professionals to create a support network for each child.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to maintain placement stability.
• Maintain detailed case records per agency policies and legal requirements.
• Provide 24-hour on-call support to children and families; crisis intervention when needed.
• Provide training on adoption preparation.
• Discuss separation and loss issues for child, family, caregivers.
• Travel for visits after 5PM and be on call rotating hours.
• Demonstrate cultural competency with diverse backgrounds.
• Perform duties within regulations and company standards.
• May drive vehicles and complete company vehicle training.

Education
