Job summary

Family Support Services of North Florida is seeking a Foster Care Recruitment and Retention Specialist to recruit and retain foster homes through community outreach and event attendance. You will work to ensure a steady supply of traditional and specialized foster homes, collaborating with licensing agencies and internal departments.

The role requires coordinating outreach, attending events, and partnering with local organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Prior experience in sales and/or business development is a plus.
• Certifications in Child Welfare/Child Protection recommended.

Responsibilities

• Receive and respond to phone inquiries and conduct face-to-face meetings with prospective foster families to ensure screening requirements are met and enrollment in pre-service training.
• Track recruitment outreach efforts and events; report key metrics.
• Coordinate and attend community events, orientation nights, and faith-based outreach for recruitment and partnerships.
• Represent FSS at foster home association meetings and annual conferences as needed.
• Recruit Foster Friendly Businesses and maintain partnerships.
• Collaborate with training, licensing, placement, and community development for events or business needs.
• Assist with outreach to foster parents for retention as necessary.
• Participate in FSS Quarterly Training and other volunteer events.
