Job summary

Family Support Services of Suncoast is seeking a Foster Home Recruitment Specialist to recruit and retain foster homes through community outreach and events, coordinating with licensing agencies and internal teams.

The role emphasizes building partnerships, conducting outreach, and ensuring applicants meet screening requirements for enrollment in pre-service training. Requires a bachelor’s degree preferred and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in sales or business development is a plus.
• Experience as a foster parent is preferred but not required in the Suncoast region.

Responsibilities

• Recruit prospective foster families through phone inquiries and in-person meetings and guide them to enrollment in pre-service training.
• Track recruitment activities, outreach events, and outcomes for reporting.
• Coordinate community events, orientation nights, and faith-based outreach for recruitment and partnerships.
• Represent FSS at meetings, conferences, and community events.
• Build and maintain partnerships with Foster Friendly Businesses and licensing agencies.
• Collaborate with training, licensing, placement, and community development as needed.
• Assist outreach to foster parents for retention and participate in quarterly training.
