Job summary

Baptist Children's Homes of North Carolina is seeking a Foster Care Licenser/Trainer to support licensing and training of foster families, recruit, screen, and coordinate with family services. This role emphasizes CARE training, teamwork, and collaboration with families according to BCH policies.

Qualifications

• Must be 23 years or older.
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field from an accredited university/ seminary.
• Two years of experience with population served.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate an agency vehicle.
• Ability to manage, plan, organize and monitor agency programs per accreditation/N.C. licensing requirements.
• Meets general employment qualifications per BCH policies.
• Respect for cultural diversity and positive relationships with children.
• Certification to lead MAPP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and participate in regular staff conferences and evaluations.
• Follow BCH policies and procedures and maintain licensing standards.
• Demonstrate professionalism and teamwork within the foster care program.
• Recruit, train, and support foster families per BCH licensing requirements.
• Maintain case files and documentation for trained and licensed foster homes.
• Stay current with trends in foster care and maintain required certifications.
• Engage with family systems and provide leadership in creating a therapeutic milieu.
• Collaborate with the Division of Social Services Social Worker as needed.
