Job summary

Thompson Child & Family Focus - A Child's Place Program in Florida seeks a Licensing and Training Specialist in the Foster Care Department. You will recruit, train, and license foster parents, provide pre-service training, assess and evaluate candidates, and guide licensing with required documentation to the state and agency.

In this role, you will maintain audit-ready files, provide quarterly supervision, and collaborate with the foster care coordinator to support safe placements.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in social work or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and license foster parents; provide pre-service training.
• Assess and evaluate potential foster parents per state and agency policy.
• Guide potential parents through licensing and submit documentation to the state and agency.
• Maintain audit-ready files and ensure ongoing training compliance; provide quarterly supervision/assessment.
• Public speaking and marketing to recruit families; collaborate with the foster care team.
