Job summary

Heartland for Children in Florida seeks a Licensing Manager responsible for overseeing the licensing and re-licensing of foster family homes and providing supervision to the licensing staff under the Program Manager and Director.

You will train new foster caregivers, track certifications, ensure licensing files are accurate and submitted timely, and collaborate with the regional licensing office while participating in trainings and meetings for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Requires strong communications and collaboration with partners.
• Experience delivering training to foster caregivers.
• Experience supervising licensing staff and coordinating on-call rotations.
• Knowledge of licensing compliance and documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Establish positive working relationships with HFC partners and demonstrate strong communications.
• Provide training for all new foster caregivers.
• Track certifications and recertifications for all foster caregivers.
• Review licensing files for accuracy and compliance and ensure timely submission to the regional licensing office.
• Provide weekly supervision with staff to keep home availability status up to date.
• Assist with on-call rotation along with other licensing management team members.
• Ensure peer reviews of licensing files are assigned and completed on a rotating basis.
• Attend trainings, recruitment or retention activities for foster parents as requested.
• Review closure summaries and ensure uploads into FSFN and region notifications.
• Provide ongoing support to licensing staff and foster homes as needed.
