Job summary

Spectrum Child & Family Services seeks a Licensing Specialist to recruit, license, supervise and train foster family homes for youth in need of out-of-home placement. This role requires a non-traditional schedule, including evenings and weekends, and may involve transporting youth using the employee's vehicle.

Qualifications

• One year of experience working with families (preferred).
• Knowledge of strength-based family work, wraparound processes, and child welfare policies.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, licenses, supervises and trains foster family homes for youth.
• Works a non-traditional schedule including evenings and weekends when necessary.
• Provides transportation to youth and families using own vehicle when necessary.
• Responds to family crises to maintain safety and stability, coordinating collateral services as required by Michigan DCWL.
