Job summary

Alliance Human Services, Inc. in Danville, Virginia seeks an Intake Coordinator for a not-for-profit treatment foster care agency. You will manage referrals, coordinate placements, and ensure intake documentation is complete in our system, Child Trax.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Social Work or related field, 2+ years in foster care or case management, strong writing and organizational skills, and flexibility for evenings/weekends. Sign-on bonus up to $2,500.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in foster care, social services, or case management.
  • Advanced writing skills are critical for documentation, reports, and communication.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Accept and manage all referrals for placement, ensuring completion of all required intake documentation.
  • Participate in orientation, training, evaluation, and assessment of potential foster family home applicants.
  • Establish and maintain a referral matching system, including tracking upcoming discharges within 30, 60, and 90 days.
  • Ensure all documentation is uploaded and updated in our electronic records system, Child Trax, and meets standards.
  • Evaluate and assess children for placement, ensuring services align with needs and permanency plan.
  • Conduct home visits and foster parent support meetings, including evenings and weekend hours.
  • Provide pre-service and in-service training for foster parents, including weekend sessions.
  • Participate in rotational on-call system for emergency and crisis support.
  • Prepare court reports, attend judicial placement reviews, and represent the agency professionally.
  • Assist with legal, licensing, regulatory, and certification activities.
  • Attend vendor fairs, community events, and foster parent recruitment activities.
  • Offer ideas to improve quality and increase visibility in the state.
  • Maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Alliance Human Services, Inc. is seeing a dedicated Intake Coordinator to join our not-for-profit, treatment foster care agency. The Intake coordinator plays a critical al role in ensuring sooth referrals, placements, and service coordination for children in foster care. Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $58,700.00 - $62,000.00 per year
