Job summary

Bethany Christian Services in Wexford, PA seeks a Foster Care Case Manager to support children in foster care and collaborate with foster parents, attorneys, therapists, and community providers.

You will train and equip foster parents, connect families to resources, and help ensure safety and well-being while maintaining thorough records and meeting regulatory requirements. This faith-based role emphasizes compassionate service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.
• At least one year of prior case management experience in child and family services.
• Hold or be willing to obtain state certifications as required by the program.
• Understanding of human service principles at a bachelor’s level.
• Knowledge of effects of separation, loss, neglect, abuse on a child.
• Knowledge of state, community and agency resources.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Clinical, therapeutic, and crisis intervention skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
• Adherence to safety procedures and reporting unsafe practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license and 3+ years driving in the U.S.
• Pass MVR check and provide proof of adequate vehicle coverage.
• Pass a criminal history screen including state/local child protection registries.
• Support the agency Statement of Faith and Mission.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management services to children in foster care.
• Attend and testify at court hearings, as necessary.
• Maintain contact with attorneys, therapists, CASA workers, and other providers.
• Maintain accurate client records and case files.
• Submit reports in a timely manner per guidelines.
• Coordinate and facilitate treatment plans with providers.
• Meet with foster parents monthly to ensure appropriate care.
• Investigate child abuse/neglect per guidelines.
• Participate in on-call system as needed.
• Assess placement safety and suitability using welfare principles.
• Attend weekly supervisor meetings to review cases and plans.
• Collaborate with Licensing and Placement Specialists on foster parent concerns.
• Stay informed about community resources and refer families as needed.
• Comply with all agency, federal, and state requirements.
