Samsung SDS America is seeking a Forwarding Sales Manager to drive growth in Forwarding and Freight solutions. You will identify new customers, develop tailored proposals, participate in bids, and close contracts for ocean, air, and road freight.

You will collaborate with Pricing, Legal, and Operations teams to craft profitable deals and ensure seamless service delivery. The role requires 8+ years in logistics sales, strong relationship-building, and travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or related field preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, and transportation.
• Ability to build trustworthy relationships with customers at all levels (C-level, Managers, Staff).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Travel up to 30% of time.

Responsibilities

• Achieve and manage sales targets for Forwarding and drive business growth.
• Identify and engage potential clients through cold calls and market research.
• Prepare and present tailored logistics proposals including fulfillment services and local transportation.
• Participate in bid processes and follow up on opportunities.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements with customers.
• Coordinate with Pricing, Legal, Operations, Claims, and Customer Service teams.
• Maintain regular CRM updates and pipeline reporting for management.
• Support cross-functional collaboration to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Travel as needed to meet clients and opportunities.
