Job summary

D.R. Horton is seeking a Forward Planner for our San Ramon, CA office. The role oversees overall progress and planning of projects, approves plans, and procures necessary permits for construction, with annual compensation of $110,000–$150,000 plus discretionary bonus.

On-site, Monday–Friday in San Ramon; requires strong coordination with consultants, city agencies, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Three to five years of related experience and/or training.
• Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read architectural and engineering plans.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Lead consultants in design and development of site plans.
• Submit plans to city/county for approvals.
• Develop and maintain entitlement schedule and budget.
• Manage consultant contracts and approve invoices.
• Provide lot exhibits, CC&Rs, and easement disclosures to Sales.
• Coordinate with outside counsel to draft documents.
• Serve as liaison between development team and agencies.
• Conduct business professionally to increase goodwill and profit.
