Salary Range: $130,000–$180,000 per year

Position Overview

We are seeking a Forward Deployment Engineer to serve as a technical partner to customers throughout the sales and implementation lifecycle. This position is ideal for an experienced technical professional who enjoys working directly with customers, demonstrating products, solving technical challenges, and helping clients successfully adopt and utilize the company's technology.

The successful candidate will be comfortable being hands-on with the product alongside customers, conducting technical demonstrations, supporting evaluations, and traveling onsite to customer locations when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical resource and trusted advisor for customers throughout the sales process.
• Work hands-on with the product alongside customers, including demonstrations, evaluations, proof-of-concepts, troubleshooting, and technical implementations.
• Travel to customer sites to provide technical support, product demonstrations, training, and implementation assistance.
• Partner closely with sales teams to understand customer requirements and develop appropriate technical solutions.
• Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations for prospective and existing customers.
• Translate customer business and technical requirements into effective product solutions.
• Support proof-of-concept initiatives and customer evaluations from initial planning through completion.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and work with internal engineering and product teams to resolve customer challenges.
• Build strong relationships with technical stakeholders, decision-makers, and end users.
• Gather customer feedback and communicate product enhancement opportunities to internal teams.
• Support customer onboarding, adoption, and ongoing technical success.
• Develop technical documentation, presentations, demonstrations, and other customer-facing materials.

Required Qualifications

• 3–7+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Customer Engineer, Field Engineer, Technical Account Manager, or similar customer-facing technical role.
• Strong hands-on experience with technology products in customer environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work directly with customers and understand their technical requirements.
• Willingness and ability to travel onsite to customer locations.
• Strong technical presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience supporting product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, evaluations, or implementations.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, engineering, product, and customer success teams.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a technical sales or solutions engineering environment.
• Experience working with enterprise or government customers.
• Experience supporting complex technology implementations.
• Technical background in cybersecurity, cloud, software, infrastructure, or related technologies.
• Experience managing multiple customer engagements simultaneously.
• Ability to travel regularly based on customer and business requirements.

Salary: $130,000–$180,000 annually, depending on experience, technical expertise, and qualifications.

Work Arrangement: Remote, with regular travel to customer sites as required.
