Avathon, Inc. in Pleasanton, CA seeks a Forward Deployed Design Lead PLM to own the integration of AI with client PLM environments, configuring product structures, workflows, and analytics.

You will collaborate with CAD engineers, PLM admins, and process owners to map BOM workflows and design end-user interfaces for adoption. This role requires hands-on PLM delivery, strong UX execution, travel up to 80%, and readiness to work at customer sites across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Design, or a related technical field
• Willingness to travel up to 80% in the United States
• Experience with PLM processes such as BOM management, engineering change management, and digital thread concepts
• Strong UX/design execution and ability to produce implementation-ready specifications

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end implementation of Avathon's AI platform within customer PLM environments configuring product structures, BOM variants, change workflow rules, and AI-enriched analytics views
• Lead onsite discovery and process mapping sessions with PLM admins, CAD engineers, and manufacturing stakeholders
• Design annotated wireframes, BOM view layouts, change workflow diagrams, and dashboard layouts for end users
• Facilitate client sessions to validate designs and iterate based on user feedback
• Act as the primary client contact for design, configuration, and adoption activities and maintain documentation
