Dirac is hiring a Forward Deployed Manufacturing Engineer in New York, hybrid with frequent travel to customer sites. You will translate real-world build processes into BuildOS workflows and act as a digital manufacturing engineer during pilots and early deployments, ensuring successful adoption by customers.
You will collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams, surface high-impact feedback to product, and help customers move from legacy methods to model-based
Dirac is building the creative suite for manufacturing engineering. Manufacturing engineering has been underserved by fractured tooling. The work of defining how a product gets built is spread across process plans, MBOMs, routings, work instructions, spreadsheets, PLM configurations, ERP tables, and internal tools. Each artifact represents only part of the process, forcing engineers to rebuild context whenever a design changes. BuildOS brings these workflows together in one environment. Manufacturing engineers author, version, review, and distribute the Build-the canonical definition of how a product is produced.
American manufacturing is broken and burdened by inefficiency, bureaucracy, and outdated processes. At Dirac, we are pioneering Model-Based Manufacturing, where context-aware production planning informs design in real-time-eliminating the disconnect between engineering and manufacturing. Our platform automates what can be automated and captures tribal knowledge where automation falls short, creating a seamless system for building at scale. We're building the tools modern manufacturers need to move faster and build better, the pillars of a more abundant future. We are a mission-driven company of world-class engineers and operators with a culture of high trust, high agency, and high autonomy.
As a Forward Deployed Manufacturing Engineer , you will work directly with manufacturing teams to translate real-world build processes into structured, scalable workflows within BuildOS. You will act as a digital manufacturing engineer, helping customers move from legacy processes to a model-based, software-driven system. You will be deeply embedded during pilots and early deployments, ensuring customers not only understand the product-but successfully adopt it.
