Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join the Agentic Identity Platform in Seattle. This hands-on role requires deep understanding of the systems you work on and the ability to build in them when needed, sometimes in a client environment.

You'll prototype standards, design identity solutions, and explain complex concepts to client engineers. Travel may be required; cloud, distributed systems, and production experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience building and shipping production software.
• Hands-on technical work within the last 18 months.
• 2+ years of professional development in Python, Go, Rust, TypeScript, Java, or C++.
• 2+ years building concurrent or distributed systems in production.
• 2+ years deploying and operating cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure or GCP, including containers and CI/CD.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent OR 12 years of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship services in the agentic identity stack: authorization engines, agent registries, credential brokers, and authentication layers for MCP servers.
• Own a component end to end: design, implementation, deployment, and failure handling.
• Reverse-engineer identity in a client environment and design improvements.
• Prototype against emerging standards and vendor betas, often before documentation exists.
• Build internal tooling and reference implementations the practice reuses.
• Explain design to a client's engineers and defend parts against feedback.
