Pragmatike is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer with YC startup experience who works directly with customers to translate real-world requirements into production systems and accelerate adoption of the company’s technology.

This highly technical, customer-facing role blends software development, systems thinking, product feedback, and hands-on implementation across deployment, integrations, APIs, and automation, with ownership from discovery to delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong programming in Python, TypeScript, or Go.
• Experience building and deploying production software.
• Experience working with customers or cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to understand technical requirements and operational challenges.
• Build, deploy, and customize production solutions in customer environments.
• Develop integrations, automation, APIs, and internal tooling.
• Translate customer feedback into actionable product and engineering requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across application and infrastructure layers.
• Partner closely with Product and Engineering to improve platform capabilities.
• Own projects from technical discovery through deployment and iteration.
• Develop reusable solutions that can scale across multiple customers.
• Improve deployment processes, documentation, observability, and reliability.
