Job summary

Dataminr is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to design, build, and deploy Palantir Foundry solutions for national security customers. You will own the end-to-end delivery, including data pipelines, ontologies, and operator-facing apps, in private or public cloud environments.

You will work closely with customer engineers and stakeholders, communicate complex concepts clearly, and travel to sites (roughly 25–75% of the time) to ensure mission success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Hands-on Palantir Foundry experience: pipelines, ontology, Compute Modules, code repositories, app development
• Strong programming skills: Python, Java, SQL, TypeScript/JavaScript, Bash or Go
• Comfort with containers, orchestration (Kubernetes/OpenShift), Linux, and on-prem infrastructure
• Active U.S. security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain one; Top Secret preferred
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical audiences; travel 50–75% to customer sites

Responsibilities

• Partner with defense and security customers to understand high-priority problems and scope solutions
• Design, build, and deploy Palantir Foundry solutions with data pipelines, ontology models, and operator apps
• Integrate Dataminr's real-time intelligence into customer workflows and C2 tooling
• Own end-to-end solutions with minimal supervision and sound technical decisions
• Debug across the full stack, including cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments
• Act as a trusted technical advisor and channel feedback to product teams
• Travel to customer sites and operations centers as needed (approximately 25–75% of the time)
