Job summary

Stripe’s Forward Deployed Engineering team builds standalone applications and integrations that extend Stripe beyond its out-of-the-box capabilities. You will shape features with Product & Engineering and deploy in user environments, delivering faster, more resilient connections to Stripe.

As a frontline contributor in a brand-new team, you’ll own projects from direction to delivery, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet customer needs and accelerate success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript/React/Ruby/Go/Java
• Experience with backend infrastructure and scalable systems
• Ability to design, build, deploy production applications
• Strong prototyping while maintaining quality
• Familiarity with containerized applications
• Strong problem-solving with business understanding

Responsibilities

• Design and architect robust technical solutions that are secure and scalable
• Build and deploy production applications combining user logic with Stripe practices
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across teams
• Drive the direction of the Forward Deployed Engineering arm at Stripe
• Engage with users to understand challenges and co-develop solutions
• Contribute tooling and best practices to scale impact across accounts
