Job summary

Stripe’s Forward Deployed Engineering team is seeking a seasoned engineer to shape features that extend beyond built-in Stripe integrations. You may build standalone user deployments or augment existing staff to deliver faster, more resilient connections to Stripe.

The role involves ownership, direction, and direct engagement with users, as Stripe expands its consulting-led offerings and scalable software solutions for diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of professional, hands-on full-stack development experience using languages listed in the requirements.
• Experience designing, building, and deploying production applications.
• Strong ability to prototype rapidly while maintaining code quality.
• Familiarity with containerized applications and OO programming languages.
• Experience in software consulting is a bonus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect robust technical solutions that are secure, scalable, and meet customer needs.
• Design, build, and deploy production applications integrating Stripe best practices.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align technical work with business goals.
• Drive the direction of the Forward Deployed Engineering arm and lead technical projects.
• Engage with users to understand challenges and co-develop solutions.
• Contribute tooling, frameworks, and practices that scale across accounts.
