Job summary

Stripe is building a new Forward Deployed Engineering team that directly delivers software for customers. You will collaborate with Product & Engineering to shape features, develop stand-alone apps, and extend Stripe integrations.

You will own significant projects, drive direction, and deliver resilient connections to Stripe in customer environments. As a senior contributor, you will mentor teams, prototype rapidly, and shape the technical roadmap while maintaining high quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional, hands-on full-stack development experience.
• Experience with languages including JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Ruby, Go or Java.
• Ability to design, build, and deploy production applications.
• Experience with containerized applications.
• Strong problem-solving and client-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect robust technical solutions that are secure, scalable, and aligned with customer needs.
• Design, build, and deploy production applications that combine business logic, Stripe best practices, and user-facing interfaces.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, bridging the gap between technical teams and executives.
• Drive the direction of the Forward Deployed Engineering team and contribute to technical projects.
• Engage directly with users to understand challenges and co-develop solutions.
