Berkley Hunt is partnering with a well-funded enterprise software company to hire a Forward Deployed Engineer in San Francisco. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of engineering and customers, implementing the platform inside customer environments, configuring it around real data and workflows with a focus on rapid enablement.

You’ll lead deployments, build integrations via the API, run live demos, support sales, and maintain ongoing technical relationships.

Berkley Hunt is partnering with a well-funded, revenue-generating enterprise software company building an AI-powered platform that modernizes how engineering teams in a highly regulated industry manage requirements, traceability, and compliance.

They're hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to sit at the intersection of engineering and the customer: implementing the platform inside customer environments, configuring it around their real data and workflows, and feeding what they learn straight back into the product. This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco (3 days onsite) with and the company is only able to consider US citizens.

What You'll Do

• Lead hands-on implementation and onboarding for new customers: configure the platform, import and migrate their data, and get teams productive fast
• Build integrations, scripts, and workflow configurations using the platform’s API
• Run technical demos on live customer data and support the sales team through the funnel: discovery, onsite visits, technical Q&A, and proofs of concept
• Own the ongoing technical relationship with existing customers through regular touchpoints, troubleshooting and solving problems directly
• Turn customer feedback into concrete product requirements and work with engineering to ship them, contributing code where it makes sense
• Represent the company at industry conferences
• Help shape the product roadmap based on direct customer signal

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years in a technical, customer-facing role such as forward deployed engineering, solutions engineering/architecture, implementation or integration engineering, or software engineering with significant customer exposure
• Able to learn a complex technical product independently and quickly, without formal onboarding
• Clear communicator across executives, engineers, and end users
• A natural relationship-builder and subtle seller rather than a traditional salesperson; this is a culture-first hire
• Experience implementing or supporting enterprise SaaS, ideally requirements management, systems engineering, PLM, or ALM tools, preferred
• Exposure to aerospace, defense, or another highly regulated hardware industry a strong plus
• Startup experience and comfort working in a small, fast-moving team preferred
