Job summary

AAA Global is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work closely with their investment team in New York. This role focuses on building AI-powered tools that directly support public equities investing.

Forward Deployed Engineer – Public Equities & AI Workflows

The Opportunity

Our client, a leading investment firm, is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly alongside their investment team building AI-powered tools that support public equities investing. This is an embedded, client-facing engineering role rather than a traditional back-office position - you'll partner closely with portfolio managers and analysts, translating their research and decision-making needs into working software, quickly.

They're after someone who is equal parts engineer and problem-solver: a person who can step into an investment workflow, understand what a PM genuinely needs, and ship a solution using modern agentic AI tooling.

Hands‑on experience with Claude Code and Claude Cowork is essential.

What You'll Be

• Doing Embedding directly with portfolio managers and analysts to spot high-value automation opportunities.
• Rapidly prototyping and deploying AI agents and workflows for company research, earnings analysis, filings, news, and market intelligence.
• Building and iterating on internal research copilots and knowledge tools using Claude Code and Cowork.
• Turning ambiguous investment-team requests into production-ready tools with short feedback loops.
• Maintaining and refining data pipelines feeding structured and unstructured financial datasets.
• Acting as the bridge between the investment team and AI tooling, championing best practices.

Requirements

• Strong hands‑on experience with Claude Code and Claude.
• Experience building AI agents, autonomous workflows, or LLM‑powered applications.
• Familiarity with public equities — research processes, financial statements, earnings, and investment workflows.
• A forward‑deployed mindset: comfortable working directly with non‑technical stakeholders, iterating quickly, and owning delivery end‑to‑end.

Highly Preferred

• Prior experience in a Long/Short Equity, Long-Only, Equity Research, Asset Management, or Hedge Fund environment.
• A track record of embedding with business or investment teams to ship tools.
• Exposure to alternative data, retrieval systems, and agent orchestration.
