Job summary

Park Lane Recruitment in New York City is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to ship production AI workflows that create measurable value for Fortune 500 clients. This is an in-person role based in our NYC office, five days a week, with roughly monthly travel to client sites.

We welcome non-local candidates who are willing to relocate to New York City and join a founder-dense team delivering real-world AI impact.

Qualifications

• 3 to 8 years of experience delivering production software end to end.
• Experience integrating AI tooling and agentic coding practices.
• Strong curiosity about models, tooling, and techniques with knowledge sharing.
• Ability to manage multiple client workstreams with high standards.
• Collaborative mindset with active contribution to team knowledge.
• Bonus: public work or open source contributions.

Responsibilities

• Own features from start to finish: architecture, implementation, deployment, and collaboration with client engineers.
• Leverage the latest agentic coding tools to maximize output and quality.
• Ramps quickly into unfamiliar codebases, from legacy systems to new stacks.
• Design agent systems that are dependable, auditable, and human-in-the-loop where needed.
• Share lessons across engagements to improve the broader team.
• Work with strategists and client teams to deliver solutions in their environments.
• Create AI workflows that run reliably in production and deliver measurable value.

Requirements

Must have:

• We look for 3 to 8 years of experience building and delivering production software end to end, with a history of translating complex challenges into elegant, scalable systems.
• We want AI to be a natural part of how you work, using agentic coding tools to improve both quality and velocity.
• We value strong intellectual curiosity and breadth, including keeping up with new models, tooling, and techniques and sharing those learnings with the team.
• We need operational discipline, with the ability to manage several concurrent client workstreams while maintaining clarity and high standards.
• We expect collaborative rigor, including high expectations for yourself and others and an active contribution to shared team knowledge.
• Bonus: public work such as open source contributions, side projects used by others, talks, or writing on applied AI engineering.
• Bonus: experience shipping a production-grade agentic system end to end rather than just a proof of concept.

Responsibilities

• We improve the broader team by turning lessons from one engagement into reusable practices across the firm.
• We work closely with strategists to turn priorities into shipped solutions and partner with client engineering teams to deliver within their environments.
• We create AI workflows that run reliably in production and make a measurable difference for end users.
