Job summary

Certus Recruitment Group is seeking a Mid-Level Forward Deployed Engineer to develop mission-critical Army Vantage capabilities in secure government environments. You will work hands-on with Palantir Foundry, build analytics dashboards, and support deployment pipelines from design to production.

Ideal candidates have 1–3+ years in software engineering, strong Python/TypeScript/Java skills, and the ability to deliver production-ready features within Agile teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Palantir Foundry experience including Workshop/Slate, Ontology, and pipeline development.
• 1–3+ years of software engineering in cloud, data, or platform environments.
• Experience with Python, TypeScript, or Java.
• Ability to independently build, test, and deploy production-ready features.
• Experience operating in Agile delivery teams and sprint-based environments.
• Government, defense, or classified environment experience advantageous.
• Hold an Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance, or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver analytical dashboard functionality using Palantir Foundry’s Workshop/Slate.
• Support CI/CD pipeline activities including build automation, testing, deployments, and environment promotion.
• Define metrics and data transformations aligned to Foundry Ontology structures.
• Contribute clean, reliable, production-ready code across front-end and data workflows.
• Participate in sprint planning, standups, reviews, and stakeholder demos.
• Support testing, validation, troubleshooting, and incremental platform enhancements.
• Produce technical documentation, runbooks, and sprint artifacts.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to resolve integration challenges.

Our client is looking for a Mid-Level Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to support the development and delivery of mission-critical Army Vantage capabilities within highly secure government and defense environments.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building analytical applications, supporting deployment pipelines, and delivering production-ready functionality within Palantir Foundry. Working alongside senior engineers, technical stakeholders, and government users, the successful candidate will contribute across the full feature lifecycle — from design and sprint planning through to deployment and ongoing enhancement.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Build and deliver analytical dashboard functionality using Palantir Foundry’s Workshop/Slate application layer

Experience Required

Applicants should have:

• Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, including Workshop/Slate, Ontology, and pipeline development
• 1–3+ years of software engineering experience within cloud, data, or platform engineering environments
• Experience with Python, TypeScript, or Java
• The ability to independently build, test, and deploy production-ready features
• Experience operating within agile delivery teams and sprint-based environments
• Previous experience within government, defense, or classified environments would be highly advantageous
• Hold an Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance, or have to ability to obtain one.
