X4 Engineering in Washington, D.C. is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to partner directly with government and enterprise customers.

The role combines deep technical work on Palantir Foundry with customer-facing delivery in a hybrid setup, allowing meaningful ownership from day one. You will design data pipelines using SQL and Python, implement Foundry solutions, and translate requirements into scalable production workflows.

Qualifications

  • Palantir Foundry hands-on experience.
  • Strong Python and SQL development skills.
  • Experience integrating and transforming complex data sources.
  • Comfortable working directly with customers in collaborative environments.
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts to senior stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Math or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy directly alongside customers to solve complex operational and mission-critical problems.
  • Design, configure, and implement solutions within Palantir Foundry.
  • Build scalable data pipelines using SQL and Python across structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Translate customer requirements into technical solutions, operational workflows, and long-term platform strategy.
  • Develop dashboards, applications, and operational tooling that become embedded within customer workflows.
  • Diagnose performance issues, optimize existing deployments, and improve platform scalability.
  • Partner with senior technical and business stakeholders, leading workshops, technical discussions, and solution design sessions.
  • Mentor teammates and contribute to delivery best practices across multiple engagements.

What We're Looking For
