Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking a Forward Deployed Data Engineer in Frisco, TX (Hybrid). You will design, build, and optimize data foundations to power AI, ML, and enterprise deployments, partnering with customers to deliver production-grade solutions.

You'll own end-to-end data pipelines and architectures across cloud platforms, collaborate with clients, and drive data quality, governance, and measurable business value through scalable, observable systems.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and SQL development.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Airflow, dbt, Kafka, Spark or similar tools.
• Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, Milvus, Weaviate, Chroma, Qdrant).
• Knowledge of RAG architectures, semantic search, AI/ML or Agentic AI.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and real-time data processing.
• Design cloud-native data architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Develop high-performance APIs and enterprise integrations.
• Implement vector databases, semantic search, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
• Support AI/Generative AI and ML workloads.
• Drive data quality, observability, governance, and compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate directly with customers to deploy solutions and deliver measurable business value.
