Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking a Forward Deployed Data Engineer in Frisco, TX (Hybrid). You will design, build, and optimize data foundations to power AI, ML, and enterprise deployments, partnering with customers to deliver production-grade solutions.

You'll own end-to-end data pipelines and architectures across cloud platforms, collaborate with clients, and drive data quality, governance, and measurable business value through scalable, observable systems.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and SQL development.
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Airflow, dbt, Kafka, Spark or similar tools.
• Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, Milvus, Weaviate, Chroma, Qdrant).
• Knowledge of RAG architectures, semantic search, AI/ML or Agentic AI.

Forward Deployed Data Engineer (Agentic AI & Data Platforms) | Frisco, TX (Hybrid)

As part of our innovation-focused Lab team, you'll work directly with enterprise clients to design, build, and scale the data foundations that power AI, machine learning, and autonomous systems.

We're looking for a Forward Deployed Data Engineer who enjoys solving complex real-world challenges, working closely with customers, and turning ideas into production-ready solutions.

What You'll Do

• Build and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and real-time data processing
• Design cloud-native data architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP

What We're Looking For

• Strong Python and SQL development skills
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and modern data engineering practices
• Hands-on experience with technologies such as Airflow, dbt, Kafka, Spark, or similar tools
• Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Milvus, Weaviate, Chroma, Qdrant, etc.)
• Knowledge of RAG architectures, semantic search, AI/ML, or Agentic AI solutions
• Cloud experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience building APIs and integrating enterprise systems
• Understanding of data governance, lineage, observability, and data quality frameworks
