Job summary

Ramp is seeking a software engineer on the AI Solutions team to co-lead customer engagements. You’ll work with an AI Solutions Strategist to cover technical discovery, design, prototyping, and production readiness.

This deeply client-facing role involves guiding projects from bootcamp through implementation, launch, and steady production use. You’ll translate business goals into secure, scalable system requirements, partner with customers to map workflows, and develop architecture artifacts.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping production software in high-ownership environments.
• Direct work with enterprise customers from discovery to production implementation.
• Experience in solutions architecture, technical consulting, forward deployed engineering, or pre-sales engineering.
• Strong fundamentals in ML/GenAI, including problem decomposition, evaluation, and deployment trade-offs.
• Strong coding ability in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, Go, or similar.
• Ability to design secure, scalable systems and produce clear technical documentation.
• Comfort working across APIs, integrations, data pipelines, customer systems, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with cloud architecture on AWS, GCP, or Azure, and distributed systems patterns.
• Experience building LLM systems, including RAG, agents, monitoring, and evals.
• Willingness to travel up to ~75% as needed

Responsibilities

• Translate customer goals into system requirements covering security, privacy, reliability, performance, scalability and cost.
• Work with customers to understand workflows, constraints, systems, data quality, and blockers.
• Create and maintain solution architecture artifacts (context diagrams, data flow, integration plans).
• Define security models, access patterns, and auditability.
• Develop evaluation plans, tests, and red-teaming.
• Plan operations: monitoring, alerting, incident response, runbooks.
• Reuse Ramp primitives to build efficient solutions.
• Prototype workflows with end users to prove product-market fit.
• Drive projects from discovery to production launch and handoff.
• Ensure deployed workflows are reliable, measurable, and adopted by customers.
• Convert deployments into reusable patterns and playbooks for future projects.
