Job summary

Rackspace is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to be embedded with our strategic enterprise customers to architect, build, and deploy high‑impact AI solutions. You will own the full solution lifecycle from discovery and rapid prototyping through production deployment and continuous optimization, serving as the technical bridge between our AI platform capabilities and customer business needs.

You will work in a hybrid model depending on location, with travel up to 25% for on‑site engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; additional experience may substitute.
• Palantir certification required.
• 6+ years in software/data/AI with customer-facing or field roles.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose business challenges, map data landscapes, and co-design AI solutions on-site.
• Lead end-to-end AI solution design, including LLM/SLM, RAG, and agent orchestration.
• Deliver rapid prototyping and POCs demonstrating business value.
• Own full project lifecycle from scoping to deployment and optimization.
• Ensure production-grade, auditable AI agents with observability and governance.
