Job summary

Sia's AI & Data Business Unit is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge engineering and change management for client AI deployments. You’ll design and implement LLM-based systems, integrate with existing environments, and drive adoption by training teams and evangelizing new tools.

Based in Charlotte area, you will partner with consulting teams to translate client needs into measurable AI value, deploying production-grade solutions across AWS, Azure, or GCP and ensuring steady adoption.

Qualifications

• Hold an engineering degree or equivalent in computer science, information processing, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs in production: prompting, RAG, fine-tuning, agent orchestration.
• Proficient in Python and applied AI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI SDK, Anthropic SDK).
• Comfort with API integration and connecting heterogeneous systems.
• Ability to deploy and operate solutions in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong sense of client context—prioritizing and delivering value quickly.

Responsibilities

• Analyze clients’ business needs and translate them into deployable AI solutions.
• Design and implement LLM-based systems: autonomous agents, RAG pipelines, workflow automation, conversational interfaces.
• Integrate solutions into clients’ environments (APIs, databases, business tools).
• Support teams in adopting deployed tools through evangelization, training, and iteration.
• Iterate quickly with stakeholders to refine production solutions and maximize impact.
• Bridge between technical teams and business decision-makers, translating complexity into value.
